1. Introduction

AlignEQ, Inc. (“AlignEQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an organizational intelligence platform for enterprise clients. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use align-eq.com and related services (“Services”).

2. Information We Collect

Account data: Name, work email address, organization name, and role provided when your administrator creates your account.

Uploaded data: Assessment profiles, employee documents, org charts, and other files uploaded by your organization. This data is processed solely to deliver the Services and is never used for model training.

Usage data: Log data including page views, feature interactions, and error events. Used to operate and improve the platform.

Integration data: When you connect Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, or HRIS systems, we collect only the minimum data required to surface organizational intelligence signals.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver and operate the AlignEQ platform
• Process uploaded assessment and employee data to generate organizational insights
• Maintain the security and integrity of the platform
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded employee data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Access is governed by role-based permissions and logged in a tamper-evident audit trail.

We are actively working toward SOC 2 Type II compliance. Contact us for our current security posture documentation.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days following termination, after which it is deleted. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support. Individual data subject requests are handled within 30 days per applicable law.

6. Third-Party Subprocessors

AlignEQ uses industry-standard cloud providers to operate the platform (database hosting, file storage, monitoring). We maintain a current subprocessor list available upon request. All subprocessors are bound by data processing agreements consistent with this policy.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@align-eq.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
